Coverage & Features
MICA offers medical professional liability insurance coverage for individual physicians, physician groups, advanced healthcare professionals and medical facilities. MICA is the market leader for medical professional liability insurance in Arizona, and we are steadily growing in Colorado, Nevada and Utah.
Individual physician, business enterprise and advanced healthcare professionals liability insurance is available on a reporting form of a claims-made insurance policy. This type of policy encourages incident reporting, and by appropriately reporting, coverage will be triggered (if the incident becomes a claim).
The policy provides coverage for medical professional liability, peer review, defense costs, supplementary payments, and discretionary medical payments. It features a consent-to-settle clause without a “hammer” and defense costs outside of the policy limits.
Business Enterprise coverage for your group entity – i.e. corporation, partnership, or other legal entity – is available for an additional premium.
MICA's MPL Policy Includes the e-Med Protection Coverage Endorsement

All new and renewal policies are issued with the e-Med Protection Coverage endorsement at no additional premium cost. Click here to learn about the added benefits of the e-Med Protection endorsement.
